Statement Ruby & Diamond Octagonal Pendant — 18ct White Gold

A commanding Art Deco–inspired pendant with a strong Chinois influence, built around a spectacular natural ruby and framed by nearly two carats of fine white diamonds. The design is architectural, symmetrical, and deliberately bold — a true centrepiece jewel.

Suspended from an 18ct white gold tapered bale set with three bright round brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 0.03–0.04ct each), the pendant drops into a striking triple-octagon arrangement. At the heart sits a mixed-cut cushion ruby of approx. 1.64ct, measuring 6.5 × 5.5 × 4.40mm, displaying a vivid, saturated red (GemDialogue: Red 60 with OR20/30). Natural inclusions are visible, as expected in untreated stones; minor surface wear noted.

The ruby is bordered by 18 round brilliant-cut diamonds, followed by two outer octagonal frames set respectively with 30 and 42 diamonds. Estimated at approx. 0.02ct each, these diamonds together amount to approx. 1.89 carats (excluding the bale), in a refined F–G colour and SI–P1 clarity range when assessed mounted.

Crafted in 18ct white gold (stamped 750 / 18K), the piece has satisfying presence with an overall length of approx. 4.5cm including the bale, and a weight of 12.9g. It may be worn on a chain or silk cord; alternatively, a brooch fitting could be added by a jeweller if desired.

Ruby origin: Creator paperwork suggests Burmese origin, but no independent gemmological report accompanies the pendant. It is therefore offered as a natural ruby with no indications of treatment based on specialist assessment. If origin certification is required, submission to a recognised gem laboratory is recommended.
