Early 20th Century Diamond and Pearl Maple Leaf Bar Brooch in Silver and Gold
An elegant and dainty early 20th-century diamond and pearl bar brooch, designed around a finely modelled maple leaf motif. The leaf is set with cushion-shaped diamonds, centred by a pearl, and flanked to either end by a further pearl and cushion-shaped diamond.
The brooch is mounted in silver-topped gold, a traditional technique of the period that enhances the brightness of the diamonds while maintaining a warm overall tone. The reverse is fitted with a classic hinged pin and C-clasp, consistent with the manufacture of the era.
Presented in its original fitted retailer’s case stamped Jacqui & Laurence, London, a respected early 20th-century jeweller. A refined and wearable piece that works equally well on a lapel, knit, or silk blouse.
