AMETHYST SOLITAIRE RING 21K Gold, 12 Carat Stone

This mid-century Amethyst and gold ring is built around a medium purple step-cut amethyst, a 14 × 12 mm stone, estimated 12 carat weight, with strong saturation and clear architectural lines. It is set in high-karat yellow metal that tests around 21ct (tested), which explains the rich colour and the softer, more malleable look of the metalwork. Overall weight of ring including the amethyst is 7.1 grams. The mount is vintage: tall, openwork shoulders, claw setting, and a basket that gives the stone height and presence without drowning it in metal.
